Advanced Polymers Ltd, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of specialist silicone rubber extrusions, mouldings and sealing solutions for high-performance and regulated industries, has announced a change in ownership, with Managing Director Joe Field assuming full control of the business following the retirement of co-owners Gary and Amy White.
The business will continue to operate as normal, with no changes to its customer-facing teams or production capability.
Field, who has co-led the company since 2007, has overseen a period of sustained growth, including a fourfold increase in turnover, investment in advanced manufacturing capabilities and the development of new materials such as Silicrumb, a recycled silicone rubber compound.
Operating to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards, Advanced Polymers supplies bespoke custom products into demanding sectors including aerospace, medical and rail. The company has particular expertise in the aircraft cabin and galley seals, environmental seals, vacuum forming seals, and custom sealing solutions in some of the most hostile and critical operational environments needing engineering support.
Its capabilities span custom polymer formulations, colour matching, bespoke extrusions, moulding, O ring and picture frame fabrications, adhesive backing and gasket cutting , supported by a library of more than 3,000 dies and rapid turnaround on new tooling.
As part of the transition, Jerome Roberty has been promoted to Operations Director.
