Plastic injection moulding company, S&S Plastics, will showcase its Insert Tubs solution at IntraLogisteX next month, explaining how their recently-launched product can cut costs and drive efficiencies for operational and procurement managers across industry.

The exhibition, which runs from 29-30 March 2022 at the Coventry Building Society Arena, UK, will see S&S Plastics demonstrate how the environmentally-sustainable Insert Tubs can solve cost and supply chain inefficiencies. There is currently a 100% reorder rate for Insert Tubs from S&S Plastics customers.

A smart, sustainable solution for logistics and supply chain management

The S&S Plastics Insert Tubs allow up to eight separate stock-keeping units (SKU) to sit inside a single standard 600mm x 400mm tote, maximising storage space and reducing transportation and labour costs. Compatible with both storage and shipping totes, the Insert Tubs improve operational capacity by up to 800% and limit the risk of cross contamination of products.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the Insert Tubs are made from 100% recycled polypropylene, making them ideal for customers seeking an environmentally-sustainable solution. The Insert Tubs are nestable when not in use, optimising warehouse space.

Of the Insert Tubs, Nick Bortone, Managing Director at S&S Plastics, said: “We were aware of the inefficiencies inherent within the supply chain and could see that much of what was being stored and shipped was air, so we resolved to do something about it. The Insert Tubs solve this inefficiency problem, while the cost savings are truly exceptional.”

S&S Plastics’ appearance at IntraLogisteX next month (Stand 220) follows its attendance at Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2022. IntraLogisteX will provide the ideal setting for S&S Plastics to showcase how the Insert Tubs function and how they can save on cost, storage space, efficiency and time.
