Solomon invests £2 million in manufacturing capacity

Solomon Commercials, the UK’s leading manufacturer of refrigerated vehicles, has increased its manufacturing capacity at its Haslingden headquarters.

The company, which operates manufacturing facilities at six locations, has invested over £2 million in a purpose-built 18,000 sq ft new production facility that will house an additional three CNC machines.

The new production facility will help increase capacity and manufacturing productivity at its Haslingden site.

Anthony Clegg, sales director, said, “At the heart of our business is innovation, and to ensure we remain the market leader, we need to invest and provide our clients with the reassurance that we can meet demand.

“All our vehicles are designed specifically to meet customer requirements. It means that we need to be agile and quickly respond to market variables and trends. Our new facility enhances our flexibility and ability to manufacture vehicles that clients know are built to their exact specifications.”

Solomons designs and manufactures refrigerated vehicles and works with independent businesses to PLCs and dotcom enterprises and retailers.

Anthony added: “One thing that’s certain in our industry is change. It’s why it’s so important that we continually invest in our business to exploit new technologies and innovations, ensuring we retain a competitive edge.”
