Charles J Lang founded the business in 1919 after starting his career working at his uncle’s grocery store in St. Andrews. In 1993, CJ Lang acquired the SPAR franchise for the remainder of Scotland and became the country’s official SPAR wholesaler.
Today, CJ Lang has over 300 stores across the country, an onsite distribution centre with a fleet of 55 vehicles and employs 1,800 people.
