Bringing decades of experience to a new audience Mainmark Ground Engineering UK is making its exhibition debut at UK Construction Week 2025 at the NEC, at a time of growing demand for its services.
UK Construction Week (UKCW) 30th September – 2nd October is the largest built environment event in the UK, which facilitates knowledge sharing and problem-solving across all sectors of the construction industry. The show features leading industry exhibitors, thought leaders, and educational seminars on topics like sustainability and digitalisation, and brings together stakeholders to discuss and plan the future of construction.
The threat of subsidence, where the ground beneath a structure sinks, is rising in the UK, which requires expert remediation. Its impact is seen on both residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
According to recent official reports from MORECS (using data from the Met Office Rainfall and Evaporation Calculation System), soil moisture deficits in the UK are increasing, with soils drying out faster than in previous subsidence-prone years. leading to a sharp rise in property damage. It has been widely reported that the UK will experience a huge spike in the number of subsidence claims in homes, commercial properties, and critical infrastructure over the next 12 months.
Tom Kavanagh, General Manager at subsidence repair and ground improvement UK specialist Mainmark. “With challenging weather conditions and the country’s warmest summer on record, there continues to be a growing need to address the impact of subsidence. At UK Construction Week, our team will be there sharing how advanced ground engineering solutions are helping stabilise, strengthen, and protect buildings and infrastructures across the UK.
On the stand, Mainmark will be demonstrating its resin injection technology, Teretek®, which is used to re-level and stabilise ground and structures. These demonstrations showcase its solutions for subsidence, ground improvement, and re-levelling. In addition, there will be an opportunity to discuss Mainmark's other solutions such as piling and root barriers.
Tom adds: “Subsidence is a critical issue that necessitates expert intervention, and we offer advanced specialist techniques in ground remediation, soil stabilisation, and concrete levelling to innovative systems designed to deliver quick results with minimal disruption.”
Mainmark’s services address issues like cracks in walls, subsidence cracks, and wall crack repair through bespoke, non-invasive solutions. Its technologies are tailored to resolve issues from home and commercial building subsidence to slope stabilisation and basement excavation.
By combining deep industry knowledge with a commitment to sustainability and innovation, Mainmark continues to redefine standards in foundation underpinning and soil stabilisation worldwide.
