Solar power boost for Russell Roof Tiles

Following the successful launch of its first solar offer, Russell Roof Tiles is boosting its output with an improved 480W solar PV panel, one of the most powerful on the market.

Russell Roof Tiles (RRT), is the leading independent manufacturer of concrete roof tiles and accessories and launched RussFast Solar in May this year, in response to continued market growth.

With this brand new, better output and more powerful solar panel RussFast Solar will have one of the highest technical specifications on the market, and is at the cutting edge of PV technology.

Demand for solar power in the UK is high, and the country is becoming a leader in solar energy use. According to latest government data 1.4 million homes in the UK have solar panels, as of June 2024.

RussFast Solar has been designed to be compatible with all Russell Roof Tiles interlocking tile profiles, offering a quality roof aesthetic for both commercial and domestic specification. The new panel provides better output and value and is part of Russell Roof Tiles investment in continuous product development and has the same quality credentials and easy installation as its concrete products.

Russell Roof Tiles work closely with Planet Mark, an internationally recognised accreditation report on its carbon footprint and demonstrate its progress.

This is the latest in an extensive line of strategic investments the company has made into its sustainability commitment. Russell Roof Tiles announced its NetZero 2040 target over two years ago, and the firm has already made significant steps towards its goals by procuring 100 per cent renewable electricity at all three manufacturing sites. This comes in addition to electrifying most of its mobile plant fleet, driving the business towards electrification and decarbonisation.

This is the latest innovation from Russell Roof Tiles which is currently constructing a £18.5m state-of-the-art plant at its Burton tile manufacturing site, which will double output continuing to increase efficiencies and capacity.
