Critical Manufacturing MES provides advanced capabilities for future semiconductor production

With the return of the live, in-person SEMICON Europa, Critical Manufacturing will be taking the opportunity to highlight the advanced capabilities of its modern MES for the semiconductor industry. With exceptionally strong and growing demand for semiconductor products, the innovative system offers producers the opportunity to optimize equipment utilization, increase yields, enhance production consistency, reduce errors, and add the agility needed to quickly adapt to changing customer demands and new product introductions.

Critical Manufacturing MES for Semiconductor is receiving growing recognition in the industry for its advanced capabilities and flexibility to meet the sophisticated needs of individual fabs. It can add production capacity and throughput by driving efficiency without increasing expensive clean room space and provide solutions to the advanced scenarios required within production steps.

Francisco Almada Lobo, CEO at Critical Manufacturing said, “Our MES is designed to handle the complexities of semiconductor production. The outstanding growth we continue to see from this segment reflects a combination of how well the platform supports complex semiconductor processes and the realization by manufacturers that they have to move to the next generation of manufacturing systems if they are to keep pace with the growing demands of the marketplace.”

The Critical Manufacturing MES offers a complete, pre-integrated suite of modules for semiconductor production in one, unified application. Highly versatile and configurable, it includes full materials traceability, complete resource tracking, dynamic recipe management, seamless equipment integration, factory automation, reticle management, send ahead wafer and sorter integration functionality, to name but a few of its advanced capabilities.

The Critical Manufacturing MES offers the ideal platform to harness the benefits of Industry 4.0 manufacturing. It includes a revolutionary IoT Data Platform, designed to easily integrate intelligent devices across the shop floor. With a fully scalable data ingestion mechanism, this platform is capable of routing events to multiple stream processing components for real-time processing. The data provides valuable insights into root-cause of problems and opportunities for continuous process improvements to improve yields and reduce ramp up times of new technologies, equipment, processes, materials and products. It will help manufacturers increase their speed of learning, innovate new technologies faster and achieve higher levels quality, while driving down production costs.

“Our MES, with its ability to handle advanced manufacturing scenarios and its integrated IoT Data Platform opens so many opportunities for semiconductor manufacturers,” continued Almada Lobo. “We expect our experts to be very busy at SEMICON Europa, helping manufacturers understand the benefits of modern MES, especially at a time when many are recognizing the need to go beyond track and trace and WIP management to implement advanced processing capabilities which match the pace of change in this industry.”

New fabs and equipment have the capability to be highly automated, but the cost is very high. For older fabs, a modern MES solution presents a way to extend the life of facilities and tools without spending billions of dollars. The Critical Manufacturing MES will provide the versatility needed to integrate legacy and new IoT devices, provide greater control of processes, and give full visibility of plant operations.

Almada Lobo concluded, “Our MES offer manufacturers the functionality and flexibility they need to support production today, efficiently handle legacy and new products, and provide a pathway to a fully integrated smart factory.”

Critical Manufacturing experts will be on hand at Hall B1, booth B1120 at SEMICON Europa, which runs from November 16-19 at the Messe München, in Munich, Germany. They will be available to discuss specific site requirements and show customers the remarkable advantages of this modern, configurable MES, designed specifically to meet the complex needs of semiconductor manufacturing.
